Dr. Viren Patel - The Orthodontic Centre CardiffViren Patel is a registered specialist orthodontist with The General Dental Council, a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and a member of the British Orthodontic Society.

A Master of Dental Science and a Fellow of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons, Viren also holds Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College, by which he has been awarded The Gold Medal.

He Qualified from Cardiff as a dentist in 1980 and went on to serve for five years as a Surgeon Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.

In 1985, he worked within the Department of Facial and Maxillofacial Surgery at Southhampton General Hospital and returned to Cardiff in 1986 to start postgraduate orthodontic training.

He has been at the practice since 1989 and his qualifications are evidence of his expertise in complex and advanced orthodontics.

A good sense of humour and relaxed disposition means that children and adult patients can expect treatment in a relaxed pleasant environment. A multi-phase approach is used with orthopedic care to correct structural/skeletal problems in younger patients followed by an orthodontic phase, once all permanent teeth have erupted.

On a personal note: In his free time Viren enjoys tennis, golf and anything to do with technology.
